Magisterial probe ordered into sexual assault of teen in J&K’s Kishtwar

A magisterial inquiry was ordered into the alleged sexual assault of a 15-year-old girl in Kishtwar’s Marwah area, following protests. The SSP confirmed FIR under Pocso Act and detention of two youths. SHO Zaheer Iqbal, accused of ordering a lathicharge, was attached to district police lines. Villagers ransacked the accused's house, further escalating tensions.
